LocalSportsJournal.comMuskegon — Fans at Hackley Stadium were treated to a Muskegon offensive explosion as the Big Reds scored early and often against Grand Rapids Union on their way to a 58-0 victory.

The Big Reds (3-1), behind a dominant performance from their offensive line, scored on nine straight offensive possessions, racking up 282 total yards while the defense held Union (2-2) to negative yards.

Muskegon saw a 27-point lead to end the first quarter extend to a 44-0 lead at halftime.

Meshaune Crowley had three touchdown runs, all in the first half, and finished with 33 total yards. Quarterback Myles Walton rushed for a 13-yard touchdown score and 29 of his 82 passing yards came from a touchdown pass to Damari Foster.

Adrian Ramos-Velazquez tacked on a 31-yard field goal while Dominic Sugin scored on a 2-yard run.

The second half saw many Big Red reserves get extended playing time and they made the most of it. Sophomore Quarterback M’khi Guy threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Jeremiah Dault for the only third-quarter score and Alyjuuan Paris took his only carry the distance for a 41-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Muskegon was led defensively by the relentless efforts of Sugin and Meshaune Crowley with two sacks apiece. Jay’von Gilbert recorded an interception for the Big Reds, who will travel to Wyoming on Friday.
