Competing in a Week 3 Thursday night West Michigan conference football matchup, the Ravenna Bulldogs ran over Mason County Central 53-8.

The Bulldogs were clicking on offense, racking up 489 total yards to MCC’s 132 yards.

Taking the helm for Ravenna was QB Kyle Beebe, going 13 of 19 for 194 yards passing with two touchdowns.

Ravenna’s Hunter Hogan rushed four times and snagged a whopping 126 yards. Clay Schullo was called on for 12 rushes and totaled 79 yards.

Grant Becklin had a pair of touchdown catches for Ravenna, finishing with four receptions for 70 yards. Drew Mabrito made four catches for 50 yards.

Xander Gajeski connected on the Spartan’s only score on a 60-yard pass from Ethan Wood.

Ravenna was led on defense by Mabrito with eight tackles and found the quarterback two times for a sack. Dayton Thomas made five tackles.

Wood led the Spartan defense making six tackles and. Peyton Mere had 5 tackles.

With the win, Ravenna improves to 3-1 on the season and 2-1 in the WMC and is set to travel to Montague Friday, September 24.
