A big first half was what the Reeths-Puffer Rockets were hoping for in their O-K Green match up with Wyoming.

Reeths-Puffer scored 26 points in the opening two quarters, leading the Rockets to a convincing, 48-12 victory.

Tayte Vanderleest sett the pace for Reeths-Puffer with two touchdown runs in the first quarter. After a pair of Brooks Johnson extra points, the Rockets led 14-0.

Going on scoring binges in the final 1:31 of the first half, R-P’s Brody Johnson broke loose for his first varsity touchdown running in from 50 yards out.

Wyoming took just 15 seconds to counter with a touchdown of their own to cut the Rockets’ margin to 20-6.

However the Rockets roared back with an Alex Johnson touchdown catch from senior QB Ben Veihl with 6 seconds left in the half and a 26-6 lead.

Despite a quick Wyoming TD to start the third quarter, the Rockets went on a scoring spree with three trips to the end zone to open the game up.

Following a long kick off return by Vanderleest, Brody Johnson broke loose for a 44 yard touchdown to put Reeths-Puffer up 33-12.

Brody Johnson followed with his third touchdown of the evening. After the snap was bobbled, Travis Ambrose caught a pass for a successful 2-point conversion putting R-P up 41-12.

Tavia Williams capped the scoring in the fourth quarter with a short TD run.  After the good extra point, Reeths Puffer secured their second win in a row improving their season record to 2-1.
