The Shelby Tigers shutout Montague on Tuesday with a 3-0 West Michigan Conference victory.

The Tigers passed the ball well and created several opportunities to score.

Ryan Jenkins gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead, controlling from a centering pass and while managing his way past the Montague defense.

Minutes later, Ricardo Bahena took a long pass and converted it into goal and a 2-0 Shelby lead.

Scoring the final goal for the Tigers was Mason Garciao on a free kick that bent its way into the net.

Mauricio Castillo and Riley Garcia led the Shelby defense that held Montague to just four shots on goal.

Joseph Hayes and Gabriel Gonzalez led Shelby’s midfield attack, keeping the offense on attack.

Goalkeeper Bishop Lee posted the shutout in goal for Shelby.

The Tigers next visit the Ravenna Bulldogs on Wednesday for Western Michigan Conference matchup.
