Spring Lake’s dominant second half rushing performance drove the Lakers to victory over Hamilton to remain undefeated.

Alex Lee ran for 251 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries to lead the Lakers to a 41-21 win on the road against Hamilton in an OK-Blue matchup.

Lee wasn’t the only Laker (5-0, 3-0 O-K Blue) to have success carrying the ball. Brody Lightfoot ran for 87 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries and Andrew Vonwahlde punched in a rushing touchdown. Spring Lake totaled 392 rushing yards.

A stout Lakers defense stifled Hamilton in the second half as well. After a 14-14 halftime tie, Spring Lake held Hamilton to only seven second-half points. Jackson Duggins led the charge with nine tackles and a sack. Hunter Throop contributed with five tackles and a sack of his own.

Spring Lake will host undefeated Hudsonville Unity Christian next Friday.
