The top Division 3 ranked Western Michigan Christian Warriors took the long drive to Manistee for the team’s second Lakes 8 Conference match of the season on Tuesday.

The Warriors emerged victorious with scores of 25-14, 25-16 and 25-20.

On defense the Warriors held Manistee from making any big runs.

Nora Anderson led WMC with 12 digs, one block and an ace. Kyla Wierseam had five kills and Abby Leffring had three.

Sydney Wagenmaker scored two aces, Ashley Folkema made seven kills and five digs while Emily Fett had 20 assists and Kendal Young produced eight.

With the victory, WMC moves to an impressive 23-2 overall season record and a flawless 2-0 Lakes 8 record.

The Warriors will host Grand Rapids Covenant Christian on Friday.
