MUSKEGON — On Homecoming night at Muskegon High School, the Big Reds had no trouble cruising to a 58-0 victory over the Holland Dutch.

The Big Reds (5-1, 4-0 O-K Green Conference) opened up with a scoring outburst from Damari Foster on a 60-yard interception return.

It only got worse for the Dutch, as Muskegon added a 10-yard touchdown run from Jakob Price; a 72-yard touchdown pass from Myles Walton to Ernest Young; and a 59-yard touchdown run from Destin Piggee to give the Big Reds a 28-0 after the first quarter.

Muskegon added three more scores in the second quarter, with a M’Khi Guy 42-yard touchdown, a safety, and a 12-yard touchdown throw from Guy to Jeremiah Dault.

Muskegon strutted into the half with a 44-0 lead.

Price blazed to an 88-yard touchdown run for the lone score in the third quarter, while Guy found the end zone again in the fourth for the game’s final score.

Defensively, the Big Reds held their third-straight opponent scoreless and created four turnovers. Damari Foster, Amariyan Glover, Myles Walton and Thaddeus Parker each had an interception for the Big Reds.

The big-play ability of the Big Reds was on display throughout the game as they piled up 462 yards of total offense on just 16 plays. Walton led the Big Reds with 99 yards passing and Price led a balanced rushing attack with 97 yards. Muskegon had five players with 40 or more rushing yards.

Young was the team’s top receiver with 72 yards.

Holland managed just 213 yards of total offense on 52 plays.

Muskegon will look to extend their four-game win streak next week as they visit crosstown rival Mona Shores next Friday.
