The MHSAA boys soccer state tournament returns to west Michigan for its second week of action as area teams battle for state championship honors.

Area teams that are still in the hunt, battle in their second round games between Tuesday and Wednesday.

In Division 1, Grand Haven travels to Jenison to take on Grand Rapids Union at 5 p.m.

Spring Lake and Reeths-Puffer take on each other in Division 2 for a 5 p.m. start today at Reeths-Puffer. Fruitport follows with a 7 p.m. matchup against Whitehall.

Division 3 Oakridge and Orchard View travel to Kent City on Wednesday for 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. games, respectively.

Hart and Shelby head to Big Rapids on Wednesday for their Division 3 matchups. Hart kicks off at 5 p.m. while Shelby starts after at 7 p.m.

North Muskegon and Western Michigan Christian both host their own Division 4 district tournaments.

Ravenna will play today at 5 p.m. while North Muskegon follows with a 7 p.m. matchup against Pentwater.

WMC hosts Potters House on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. game.

The Warriors defeated Wyoming Tri-unity Christian on Friday with a 4-0 shutout.

WMC’s Ashton Leffring broke through for a score with six minutes left in the first half in the Warriors’ win. The sophomore also added two assists in the win.

Coming out of half time, the Warriors added three unanswered strikes from Jamie Cho, Matthew Bradford-Royle and Cole DeJonge.

Ethan Hill had one assist for WMC who outshot Tri-unity 20-1.

Goalkeeper Jared Olsen posted his eighth shutout of the season for the Warriors.
