The Fruitport Trojan’s boys soccer team took down the visiting Hamilton Hawkeyes on Monday with a 3-0 win in the opening round of O-K Blue Conference tournament.

The Trojans came alive after a scoreless first half and opened up with an Eli Aldridge goal off a Ryan Laus assist.

Jackson Rebone snuck one past Hamilton’s keeper off a cross from Jayce Thornton ten minutes later, putting the Trojans up 2-0.

Zach Schaefer tacked on another insurance goal for the Trojans to complete the scoring.

Justin Laus posted the shutout in net with two saves as the Trojans outshot Hamilton 19-2 in the team’s ninth shutout this season.

Fruitport improved their record to an undefeated 12-0-3 and will host cross town rival Spring Lake for a crucial conference matchup on Wednesday.
