The Greater Muskegon co-op swim team earned a narrow 97-89 victory over Hamilton on Tuesday.

The Turtles posted 14 personal record and won nine events.

Katie Cree led divers with a second-place finish, scoring 170 points.

The team of Caroline Carlson, Naomi Huttenga, Robyn Hunt and Sydney Sytsema won the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:03.72.

Caroline Carlson also won the 200 free and 100 back with times of 2:08.80 and 1:05.74, respectively.

Also winning events for the Turtles was Robyn Hunt in the 100 fly with a time of 1:06.73 and the 500 free with 5:54.24. Sydney Sytsema took the 50 free with 26.84 and the 100 free with 1:00.63 and Eliza Piper who won the 200 IM with a time of 2:36.97.

“Tonight’s win was a total team win from top to bottom,” said Coach Mick Homan. “The score does not show the true team spirit or fight the ladies showed of how determined they were to get the victory.

The Lady Turtles swim again on Saturday against Calvin University.
