Hart’s boys and girls cross country teams dominated the competition at the Hart & Sole Invitational on Saturday.
The Pirate girls captured the top three places and finished with 23 points. Runner-up Ludington had 42. Hart’s boys won by an even larger margin with 26 points to runner-up Ludington’s 63.
Freshman Jessica Jazwinski took first place in 18:21.5. She was followed by teammates Audrianna Enns, a senior, who finished in 19:04.8 and sophomore Alyson Ens in 19:12.5.
Following the Pirates and Orioles, were Mason County Eastern with 77, Shelby at 109 and Pentwater with 138.
Ludington freshman Summer Brower had the fifth spot in 20:17.90, followed by Shelby junior Emma Soelberg with a time of 20:18.90.
Hart freshman Lexie Beth Nienhuis was seventh at 20:37.60, Ludington freshman Nadia Grierson had a 20:55.30, Mason County Eastern freshman Lucy Shoup was finished in 21:23.80 and Ludington freshman Autumn Brower rounded out the top 10 in 21:30.20.
On the boys’ side, after the Pirates and Orioles were Mason County Eastern at 65 points, Pentwater with 106 and Shelby with 112.
Hart had the first two places, as junior Clayton Ackley was first with a 16:52.40 while fellow junior Wyatt Dean followed in 17:04.10.
Mason County Eastern junior Nate Wing finished third in 17:28.70 and senior Eli Shoup was fourth in 17:36.80.
Hart senior Max Nienhuis finished sixth in 17:49.80, followed by Ludington sophomore Trey Keson in 17:50.70, Hart freshman Max Stitt at 18:00.50, Pentwater sophomore Abe VanDuinnen in 18:15.90 and Shelby senior Isaac Scouten was 10th in 18:16.40.
