Kent City outlasted Holton in an eruptive offensive battle on Friday.

The Eagles offensive firepower was on display in their 50-38 victory on the road against Holton.

Most of the fireworks were fired in the first half as the score was 36-24 in favor of Kent City at the break.

Kent City’s offense fired on all cylinders due to a trio of juniors, including running back Mason Westbrook who had 234 yards on 29 carries and two scores. 

Quarterback Kyler Larson was 3 of 4 passing for a total of 89 yards and had two scores while also rushing 133 yards on 13 carries and had two rushing touchdowns. Dylan Sutton was the leading receiver for the Eagles with one 68-yard touchdown reception.

The Kent City defense held onto their lead late in the fourth quarter as Junior linebacker Webb Longcore had two interceptions throughout the game. 

Kyle Montarusso and Chase Moreno each tallied eight tackles and a pass deflection while Moreno had a sack as well.

Kent City improves to 3-2 and 2-1 in CSAA-Silver play. The Eagles will go on the road to face White Cloud next week.
