Mona Shores hosted the Reeths-Puffer Rockets in O-K Green Conference action on Friday night with the Sailors leaving with a 57-15 victory over their rival.

The Sailors put on a show in the second quarter, racking up a total of five touchdowns, putting the score at 43-7 going into the second half.

Mark Konecny was under center for the Sailors, going 3 for 5 passing for 130 yards and throwing for two touchdowns, while running his way to 68 yards and a rushing touchdown.

The Sailors rushed for a total of 298 yards on the night.

Producing for the Sailors offense Brandon Bankard came out of the backfield 11 times for 96 yards and a touchdown, Dahmir Farnum went for 55 yards and a score on four attempts and Elijah Johnson got the call six times for 42 yards and a touchdown.

Plays through the air were limited but lethal for Mona Shores.

Jaylen Vinton caught one pass for a massive 70-yard score and Demetri Roberson made two receptions for 60 yards and a touchdown.
Ryan McNiff took a kickoff 85 yards to the house for a return touchdown.

Leading the defense for the Sailors was D.J. Caviness who made five tackles, Jeff Lenartowicz had three tackles and a pick six and Kemper Millis made two tackles and took down the Rockets quarterback one time.

Scoring for the Rockets was Tyviea Williams who had a rushing touchdown in the second quarter, while Travis Ambrose had a reception touchdown in the fourth.

Mona Shores continues its climb in the O-K Green with an unblemished conference record of 4-0, with an overall record of 5-1 and will be home next Friday squaring off with the hard hitting Muskegon Big Reds. Reeths-Puffer falls to 2-4 and 1-3 in the O-K Green, and will host Holland next Friday.
