The Muskegon Community College volleyball team fell in a tight road match to No. 7 ranked Grand Rapids Community College.

The Jayhawks fell 3-2, with set scores of 20-25, 25-19, 25-22, 21-25 and 15-10.

Reilly Murphy made 25 digs, 13 kills and three blocks, Bridget McHugh had 20 kills and three blocks, Raegan Murphy offered up 47 assists, 17 digs, nine kills and four blocks and Alicia Mumby got 11 kills and nine blocks.

Contributing to the Jayhawks defense was Meghan Heiss with 24 digs, Alexis Strait made 14 digs and Maddy Wynn got 13 digs.

MCC drops to second place in the Western Conference with a 7-3 record and is next home on Tuesday against Glen Oaks Community College.
