Ravenna’s offense was powered by a pair of 100-yard rushing performances en route to a 41-14 victory over Hart on Friday evening.

The Bulldogs bulldozed the Hart defense behind 121 yards rushing on seven carries by Hunter Hogan and a 14-carry, 107-yard, four-touchdown performance by Clay Schullo.

Ravenna totaled 369 yards offensively throughout the game. Kyle Beebe threw for two scores and 70 yards passing, with one touchdown to Owen Scott and the other to Drew Mabrito.

The Pirates’ passing attack was formidable throughout the contest. Kellen Kimes threw for 153 yards and two touchdowns despite also throwing three interceptions. Chance Alvesteffer had eight receptions for 85 yards and a touchdown.

Ravenna’s stout defense was led by Grant Becklin, who tallied seven tackles on the evening. Dayton Thomas made six tackles of his own. The Bulldogs’ defense also forced two fumbles and three interceptions throughout the contest.

Ravenna improves to 4-2 on the season and 2-2 in West Michigan Conference play. They will be on the road next week against North Muskegon.

Hart remains winless in the WMC (0-4) and drops to 2-4 on the season. They will host Whitehall next week.
