Zeeland West swept the second OK Green Conference Meet on Wednesday at Rycenga Park.

In boys action, Zeeland West barely escaped with the low total team score (52) over Reeths-Puffer (53). Holland finished in third place (75), ahead of fourth place Zeeland East (77). Muskegon Mona Shores finished in fifth place (106), while Grand Rapids Union came in sixth place (168) and Muskegon finished seventh (206).

Taking top honors was Reeths-Puffer senior Klay Grant with a time of 16:28.64. Other local runners to finish in the top 20 included: Reeths-Puffer’s Jaxon Allen in fourth, Mona Shores’ Aidan Kreps in 10th, Reeths-Puffer’s Kyle Grant in 11th, Puffer’s Tate Bradley in 12th and Mona Shores Will Parsekian in 16th.

In the girls’race, Zeeland West took top team honors, placing five runners in the top 11 spots. They finished with a team score of 29. They were followed by Zeeland East (47), Mona Shores (73), Holland (77), Reeths-Puffer (135) and Wyoming (188).

Taking top honors was Zeeland West freshman Jordyn Klassen with a time of 19:33.56. Other local top 20 runners include; Mona Shores’ Robyn Hunt in fifth place, Shores’ Cecillia Conrad in eighth, Shores Lilly Houle in 12th and Shores’ Destiny Douglas in 19th.
