Week 6 of Friday night high school football has arrived and the Local Sports Journal will be covering 14 games tonight. There are some interesting matchups, rivalry games and games that could determine some conference championships.
Five local teams will have the week off, which include Muskegon Heights (due to the cancellation of the Orchard View season). Off to the north, Montague and Mason County Central will not be playing, as the Spartans forfeited to the Wildcats. Another West Michigan Conference matchup – Shelby at Oakridge – has been cancelled due to low numbers in the Shelby program.
Check out our game coverage for tonight and check back on the LSJ website and Facebook page late tonight and Saturday morning for game results. There is a chance of rain later today, but whether it’s cleared out of the area by game time is anyone’s guess.
