Whitehall’s Rayne Thompson became the fourth volleyball player in program history to reach 1,000 career kills on Tuesday.

The senior reached the milestone in the Vikings’ convincing non-league win over Sparta. Whitehall won in three games, 25-9, 25-15 and 25-9.

Thompson reached the mark with 13 kills in the win. She joined the thousand career mark with her sister Autumn Christiensen who had 1,400 career kills. 

Whitehall was also led in the win by Charley Klint with nine kills, seven digs and seven aces, Maggie Evans had 33 assists and six aces and Ryleigh Mott made ten digs.

Whitehall is now 24-3-1 for the season and a perfect 7-0 in the WMC.

The Vikings will face Fruitport on Thursday October 21st in a non league game.
