The Grand Haven boys cross country team finished seventh in the Division 1 state final at the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn Saturday afternoon.

Grand Haven scored 253 points. Brighton took home the state title trophy wih 141 points, easily outpacing runnerup Caledonia that had 175. White Lake Lakeland was third.

Sophomore Seth Norder missed out on an individual title, finishing second in 15:19.91 for the Buccaneers. Junior Nolan Clark was 11th in 15:50.49.

Also for the Buccaneers, senior Ben Pease was 65th in 16:45.24, senior Jonathan Tysman was 76th in 16:51, freshman Ben Held was 98th in 16:59.49, junior Logan Vining was 100th in 16:59.63 and junior Logan Hough was 176th in 18:19.08.

In the individual portion of the meet, Reeths-Puffer senior Klay Grant finished eighth in 15:38.40 and the Rockets sophomore Jaxon Allen was 58th in 16:26.66.
