The 24th ranked Muskegon Community College wrestling team has been proving that they have what it takes as they express their dominance early in the season.
The Jayhawks soared to a perfect 9-0 record on Saturday with a 4-0 shutout win at Olivet College for the Olivet Comet Duals.
MCC struck down every opponent they faced though some were tougher than others.
The Jayhawks squad took down Trine University 35-12, Millikin University a tight 26-24, Adrian College 40-29 and host Olivet College 33-16.
Kael Bunce (Stockbridge), Josh Kenny (Grandville), Bronsen Jewell (Grand Haven) and Kayleb Venema (Whitehall) all put on undefeated performances for MCC.
Head Coach Mark Brunger was thrilled with what he saw from his team.
“The competition got tougher as we wrestled all 4-year schools, but we got key wins in close matches that helped us keep this winning streak alive,” said Brunger.
The Jayhawks will be back to competition on Sunday December 5th for the Hawks Invite at Henry Ford College and action kicks off at 10 a.m.
