Kyle Beebe and the Ravenna boys basketball team didn’t let a cold first quarter stop it from topping Whitehall 66-42 in both teams’ West Michigan Conference opener on Friday.

Beebe tallied all 19 of his points in the second-half to lift the Bulldogs over a 17-11 first quarter deficit.

Ravenna used a balanced attack with Grant Becklin, Clay Schullo and Travis May each scoring 12 points.

Despite taking the loss, Brodie Fogus paced the Vikings with a double-double 19 points and 16 rebounds.

Also chipping In for the Whitehall was Red Watson with seven points and two assists and Isaac DeHart added six points.

Ravenna climbs to 2-0, 1-0 and will be home on Monday to face off with Hart.

Whitehall drops to 0-2, 0-1 and will travel to Fremont Tuesday.
