SPARTA–Struggling to shoot the ball proved to be the downfall for the Fremont boys basketball team on Tuesday night as they fell on the road to the Sparta Spartans 61-51.

While Sparta did well shooting from the outside the Packers had a hard time getting much to go and thanks to a strong performance and effort by Jordon McDonald they were able to stick around and stay within striking distance of the Spartans.

McDonald recorded a double-double scoring 25 points, while hauling down 10 rebounds and grabbing three steals for the Packers in the loss.

Fremont drops to 2-3 on the season and will be back after the holiday break when they travel to Ludington on Tuesday January 4th.
