The Fremont boys basketball team bested the Shelby Tigers on Tuesday with a 54-47 non-league win. 

The score was tied at halftime and after the third quarter but the Packers were able to pull together a run in the final quarter to pull away with the win.

Joey DeLong led Fremont with 13 points, seven rebounds and three steals while Logan Nelson had eight points, seven assists, and two steals.

Off the bench, Eli Shears put up eight points, four rebounds and made two steals for the Packers.

Shelby’s Bishop Lee worked did all he could for the shorthanded Tigers. Lee posted a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds.

Fremont will play host to Big Rapids on Friday for a CSAA Gold showdown.
