The Fruitport wrestling team opened up its season at Muskegon High School for a quad meet on Wednesday ending the night 1-1.

The Trojans fell to Holland 52-22 with Tate Sims winning at 152 pounds, Evan Ludlow at 171 pounds and Hunter Leonard at 189 pounds.

The Trojans built a large lead and dropped Unity Christian, 63-12 with multiple guys winning their weight class.

Kyle Holt won at 119 pounds, Roan Cooper at 125 pounds, Landen Bouque at 130 pounds, Nathan Beebe at 135 pounds, Tate sims at 145 pounds, Nash Cooper at 152 pounds, Peyton DeHoog at 160 pounds, Evan Ludlow at 171 pounds Hunter Leonard at 189 pounds, Caleb O’Neal at 215 pounds and Cody Leonard at 285 pounds.

Fruitport will compete again on Saturday at the Greenville Invitational at Greenville High School.
