GRAND HAVEN — The Grand Haven boys basketball team made sure not to disappoint Bucs fans in its first game as host of the Lakeshore Cup Showcase on Tuesday.

The Bucs put on a good show as they topped Traverse City St. Francis, 65-51.

Nothing could slow down the Buccaneers as they maintained a lead throughout the entirety of competition.

Leading for the Bucs was Bashir Neely with 14 points while Harrison Sorrelle put up 13 points. Owen Worthington also chipped in eight points for Grand Haven.

Grand Haven is an undefeated 3-0 on the season and will finish up the Showcase on Wednesday against Traverse City West at 4:30 p.m.
