Hart wrestling goes 3-1 in duals at Zeeland’s Kraai Invitational

The Hart wrestling team started slow at the Kraai Invitational on Saturday at Zeeland West High School but was able to find momentum, rattling off three straight wins to end the day.

Opening up the day cold, the Pirates lost to Wayland Union 34-26 but ultimately found some heat taking down Watervliet (64-15), Zeeland West (68-3) and defeated West Ottawa (42-26).

Going undefeated individually for the Pirates was Caleb Wilson, Trayce Tate, Mason Cantu and Leo Guadarama.

Only receiving one loss on the day and going 3-1 individually for the Pirates were Jose Chavira, Emmanuel Ortega, Chance Alvesteffer and Guillermo Ortega.

Hart will wrestle again on Wednesday when they host Mason County Central and Oakridge for a tri-meet.
