The Ravenna boys basketball team used a second-quarter edge to top Grand Rapids West Michigan Academy 65-50 on Monday.

The Bulldogs outscored West Michigan 16-7 in the second to take a 30-22 lead at halftime and used a 23-point third quarter for the win.

The Bulldogs had four players in double figures.

Travis May led all scorers with 22 points while Grant Becklin and Kyle Beebe each chipped in 13 points. Newcomer Clay Schullo put up 10 points for the Bulldogs.

Ravenna will visit Whitehall on Friday for their first Western Michigan Conference action of the season.
