After having to wait a extra week to kick off their season, the Spring Lake boys swim team got back in the pool on Tuesday.
The Lakers swam in a tri-meet against Grand Rapids Christian and Otsego at Calvin University for their season opener.
“This was a good first meet to find our bearings,” said Spring Lake swim Coach Nick Zacek. “This was not an easy first meet to set foot in, but overall it was a great place to start.”
Finishing on top for the Lakers was sophomore Johnny Wachter who took first in the 100 Fly. Freshman Noah Fletcher finished first in the 200 Free and 500 Free and senior Wit Miller took first in diving.
Spring Lake will see GR Christian again on Thursday when they host the Eagles at Spring Lake Aquatic Center.
