The Shelby girl’s basketball team tallied their first win of the season with a 47-18 rout over North Muskegon in a West Michigan Conference matchup on Friday.

Kendall Zoulek was a key contributor for the Tigers as she dominated on the court snagging a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds and making four steals on defense.

Also adding points for the Tigers were Molli Schultz and Aubrey Klotz with seven points apeice. Lauren Brown and Ella Olmstead grabbed nine and seven rebounds, respectively.

“I am proud of how my girls have played these first two games,” said Head Coach Sarah Wolting whose team is now 1-1 overall and 1-0 in the WMC.

Molly Stewart and Emma St. Germain led for the Norse posting five points a piece.

Shelby improves to 1-1 and will travel to Fremont on Tuesday to take on the Packers.

North Muskegon opens up the season 0-1, 0-1 and will be at Muskegon Catholic Central on Tuesday.
