GRAND RAPIDS–The Muskegon boys basketball team tacked on another win to their now 5-0 undefeated record as they took down Grand Rapids Union 65-54 on Tuesday night.
The Big Reds had control for most of the game and went into halftime with a 29-18 lead that grew to 48-33 at the end of the third quarter.
The Red Hawks kept Muskegon on their toes in the closing quarter as they outscored the Big Reds 21-17, but they held their ground to seal the deal and clinch the win.
Anthony Sydnor III was lights out scoring 20 points for the Big Reds while also grabbing three rebounds and two steals. Ethan Hill was one rebound shy of a double-double having put up 16 points, nine rebounds and four steals.
M’Khi Guy added nine points and three steals while Maurice Sain Jr. chipped in with seven points, two rebounds and two assists.
Muskegon will be back in action this Friday when they host Wyoming in O-K Green Conference action.
