FRUITPORT — Fruitport Calvary Christian’s girls basketball team started fast and just kept on rolling with a 67-25 victory at home over visiting Muskegon Orchard View on Tuesday night in a non-conference game.

Calvary started off with a 14-5 first quarter and never looked back, taking a 27-7 halftime lead and entering the fourth leading 45-19.

McKenna Wilson paced Calvary with 21 points, eight rebounds, 10 steals and six assists. Ava Wilson scored 19 points, hauled down six rebounds and dished out four assists.

Cate Anhalt contributed 11 points, and had four rebounds, three steals and four assists. Avneet Cheema added 10 points, 10 rebounds and three assists, while Nora Pollock had four rebounds, five assists and two points.

Orchard View was led by Grace Gardener and Elizabeth Estelle, who each scored 10 points.

The Cardinals fell to 1-8 overall and are next scheduled to make a road trip to play Mason County Central on Wednesday night.

Calvary improved its record to 5-1 overall with its fifth straight win, and will play at Bryon Center Zion Christian on Friday.
