The Fremont Packers bowling team split the night on Wednesday against Orchard View at Northway Lanes. The Packers’ girls squad dominated to a win and the boys struggled to a dismal loss.

The girls started fast, winning both baker games to take an early 10-0 lead for Fremont. The high energy from the Packers continued, tearing their way through the first regular game. Slowing down in the end, the Packers squeaked by in the last game to win by just one pin and take the day with a score of 26-6.

Sophia Romine had a career night throwing a game-high 197 followed by a 151 series while Makayla Johnson contributed with a 148.

It was a different story for the boys, as they dropped the first two baker games to go down 10-0. Fremont continued to struggle into the regular games, only tallying a single point in a 29-1 loss.

Sharing the top spots for the boys was Andrew Lyon and Gabe VanVleet who led the Packers with games of 155 each while Jacob Walker rolled a 153.

Fremont will be back at Northway Lanes on Monday to challenge the Mason County Central Spartans.
