After not taking the court for a few weeks due to Covid and the holiday break the Holton boys basketball team showed they haven’t missed a beat as they came away with a convincing win over Wyoming Lee 60-29 on Tuesday.

Red Devils Wyatt Monette put the team on his back putting up some impressive numbers recording a double-double with a game high 31 points, 15 rebounds, seven blocks and four steals.

Although it’s impossible to play a perfect game that didn’t stop Monette from trying on both ends of the court,” said Holton head coach Keith Swanson.

Also hitting for double digits for the Red Devils was Kevin Erickson who scored 11 points and made three steals while Carter Brant chipped in seven points and had four assists.

The Red Devils improve their record to 3-0 and the squad is happy to be back in action.

The team was so excited to play a game after a three and a half week break,” said Coach Swanson. “I thought it really showed with our energy all 32 minutes.”

Holton will look to use this momentum and continue their streak as they travel to face-off with Lakeview on Friday.
