The Reeths-Puffer boys basketball team stole a win away from the Wyoming Wolves in their O-K Green Conference opener on Friday night in a ferocious fourth quarter run to seal the game 59-51.

The Rockets jumped out to a slight 13-9 lead the first eight minutes of action. Wyoming would outscore the Rockets 18-13 in the second stanza to take a slim one point lead the half 27-26.

Struggling on offense the Rockets fell behind behind 40-34 at the end of three quarters of play.

Reeths-Puffer found some offensive rhythm in the fourth quarter as they caught fire and went on a 25-11 scoring run to snatch the win out of the hands of Wyoming.

Laeding the offense for the Rockets was Jaxson Whitaker who tossed in 19 points and dished out six assists while Logan Brooks scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds.

Travis Ambrose was solid on the night earning a double-double with 13 rebounds, 11 points and eight blocks.

Reeths-Puffer climbs to 4-1 and 1-0 in league play and will host Zeeland East on Tuesday evening.
