The Reeths-Puffer boys basketball team and Jaxson Whitaker continued their strong season as they struck down another O-K Green Conference opponent with a 57-50 win over Holland on Friday night.

The Rockets were ignited by Whitaker all night, as he finished with a game-high 31 points.

Reeths-Puffer started quick with a 15-5 run and used that for a 26-19 edge going into the half.

Holland may have managed to cut down the Rockets’ lead a point at a time, but the Rockets were able to repeatedly answer back and hold on to a 41-35 lead after three quarters.

Aside from Whitaker’s big offensive night, he also five rebounds and three assists.

Contributing defensively for the Rockets was Travis Ambrose who pulled down 10 rebounds while Coby Mitchelson snagged four steals.

Reeths-Puffer climbs to 7-2 on the season and 4-1 in the conference. The Rockets will be back to action on Tuesday when they visit the Muskegon Big Reds.
