Struggling to shake off the rust from the holiday break the Kent City boys basketball team got bounced by a bigger and more physical Allendale squad on Tuesday falling 62-38.

Kent City struggled in the first half as the Falcons took off on a 35-13 scoring run in the first two quarters putting the game further away for the Eagles.

Halftime adjustments started to make a dent and the Eagles did outscore the Falcons for the first time in the game 12-11 in the third quarter but the sloppy first half heavily slowed them down.

Leading the Eagles in scoring was Kyler Larson with eight points.

Kent City drops to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the CSAA-Silver and will host Hesperia on Friday in league action.
