The Whitehall girls basketball team came off the holiday break with a bang as they went on a 51-17 rout over the Fruitport Trojans on Tuesday evening.

Quickly jumping out in front the Vikings pulled ahead 25-8 at halftime and never looked back completely deflating the Trojans.

Charley Klint had a massive game for the Vikings scoring more than half of the team’s points putting up 25 while Autumn Ferris chipped in with six points.

Playing strong on the defensive front McKena Coron pulled down 11 rebounds and had five steals for the Vikings.

Whitehall improves to 3-4 and are 2-2 in the Western Michigan Conference and are set to host Oakridge on Thursday in a conference showdown.

Fruitport remains winless at 0-5 on the season and will take the short jog to take on rival Spring Lake Friday.
