With a stellar second half and an impressive 32 point showing on Tuesday night, Kyler Larson helped steer the Kent City boys basketball team to a 62-45 win over Wellspring Prep.

The first half saw a balanced attack from both sides as the Eagles held a slight 15-13 advantage in the first quarter and an even slimmer 25-24 going into the half, but the Eagles were just getting started.

Not only did the Eagles turn up the heat on the scoring front, they also tightened things down on defense shutting down the Wolves.

After a stinging 17-7 scoring run in the third quarter, the Eagles extended their lead to 42-31.

The scoring stayed hot for the Eagles as they rattled off 20 points to the Wolves’ 14 in the fourth quarter.
