HAMLIN TWP. — Both Ludington girls and boys teams won by identical 16-14 scores over Western Michigan Christian in a Lakes 8 matchup on Wednesday night.

The Oriole girls divided their two Baker games against the Warriors on the night, winning the first, 100-82 and dropping the second, 118-89.

In the first game, it was Heidi Faust leading the way for the Orioles with a 121. Abigail Ashley followed with a 115 and Rylee Hardenburgh finished with a 98.

Karly Gokey and Elecia Byrd had a 95 and Sara Mutzette had a 85 split for Ludington.

Game two found Faust topping the Orioles again with a 140, while Gokey rolled a 117 and Grace Ashley had a 116. Hardenburgh bowled a 109, while Byrd and Abigail Ashley combined for an 81.

The Oriole boys also came away with a split in their Baker games with the Warriors, absorbing a 110-96 loss in the first and coming back to take the second, 113-112.

Ludington’s leaders in the opening games were Cameron Fetters with a 174, followed by Lucas Ruggero with a 135, Darius Byrd a 127, Damion Ott with a 118 and Amari George a 102.

Ruggero bowled a 160 to be the top Oriole bowlers in the second game, with Byrd rolled a 113, Fetters a 108 while Ott had a 105 and George an 89.
