Three unanswered goals and a Jack Williams show ignited the Muskegon Lumberjacks to their seventh straight win on Saturday night.

The Lumberjacks topped Green Bay 4-3 in overtime to complete an unlikely comeback capped off by back-to-back goals from Williams.

Muskegon was trailing visiting Green Bay 3-0 and looked like its goose was cooked after letting in a goal just 12 seconds into the start of the second period.

But a David Hymvitch goal less than a minute later put the Lumberjacks on the board. Ten minutes later, Jacob Braccini found the back of the net to bring Muskegon to a 3-2 deficit.

Enter in Muskegon forward, Jack Williams. The 6-0 Williams has been on a tear in 2022 now with nine points in the last five games.

Saturday Williams continued his impressive play, tying the score 3-3 just three minutes into the third period. The Northeastern University bound Williams then sealed the win in overtime with a power play goal that was set up by Quinn Hutson and Jacob Guevin.

With the exciting win, Muskegon is now 19-10-1-2 and is in second place of the Eastern Conference, just five points behind first-place Chicago.

The Lumberjacks were led in goal by Aleksander Kuleshov who made 19 saves on 22 shots.

Muskegon continues action at home on Sunday, with a 4 p.m. matinee against visiting Green Bay.
