The Muskegon Lumberjacks’ defense came through on Friday night with a 7-2 victory over visiting Team USA.

The Lumberjacks used goals from six different players in the win.

Muskegon defense did not allow a Team USA goal in the second and third periods after taking a 3-2 first period lead.
Owen Mehlenbacher led the Lumberjacks with two goals and an assist while David Hymovitch and Ethan Whitcomb each had a goal and an assist.

Jacob Guevin, Jacob Braccini and Joe Larson also scored for Muskegon.

Cameron Korpi posted the win for Muskegon in goal, stopping 15 of 17 shots.

The Lumberjacks are back in action on Saturday when they host Green Bay.
