MUSKEGON — Mason County Central’s bowling teams visited Northway Lanes in Muskegon for a West Michigan Conference and left with a pair of losses Wednesday night.

On a cold, blustery evening the Spartans found the trip even less inviting afterward, as they dropped a pair of matches to Whitehall.

In the girls competition, the Spartans were on the short end of a 30-0 score while the boys fared little better, losing to the Vikings, 28-2.

Kurtis Basler had the boys’ highest score for the night with a 300 series, including a high game of 157.

The next highest game was a 154 rolled by Riley Primer, and he came through with a 265 series. Sam Johnson followed with a 244 series and a best game of 144.

On the girls’ side, it was Haley Story leading the way for the Spartans with a 231 series and games of 111 and 120.

Mason County Central returns to the lanes on Monday, Jan. 31 at Fremont.
