First year head coach Adam Bowen and his Packers have won three in row for the first time this season and are just one game behind Big Rapids and Reed City in the CSAA-Gold.
“The Vikings played hard and made it tough for us, but we were able to put together a couple of runs in the second and third quarters to pull away for the victory,” said Bowen.
Jordan McDonald led all scorers with a game high 23 points, to along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Joey DeLong joined him in double digits with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 5 steals. Gavin Richards chipped in with 9 points, while Logan Nelson added 8 assists.
The Packers improve to 5-4 on the season and are 4-1 in the Central State Activities Association-Gold action. They host Chippewa Hills on Tuesday, January 18 in league play.
