Imposing their will over the Wyoming Wolves, the Mona Shores girls basketball team dominated their way to a 67-18 rout at home on Friday evening.

The Sailors held control from the jump, going up 19-4 after the first quarter. The second quarter was just as lopsided, with the Sailors outscoring Wyoming 22-5, and they took a 41-9 lead into the half.

Halftime proved to not slow down the Sailors any, however, as they broke off a 19-6 scoring run in the third quarter to grow the lead to a whopping 60-15.

The scoring may have slowed for the Sailors in the last quarter of action scoring seven points to the Wolves three, but the damage had already been done to seal the deal.

Leading the night for the Sailors with electric scoring performances, Olivia Sobczak put up 19 points and Lily Miller added 18 points. Also contributing in the win was Jenna Tierman with eight points, while Khaleeya Cook and Ali Phillips each threw in six points.

Mona Shores improves to 11-2 and 6-1 in the O-K Green Conference, setting them at second in the league standings. The Sailors are set to play host to Grand Rapids Union next Friday to continue league action.
