Pushing their win streak to six after a dominant showing on Tuesday night the Mona Shores girls basketball team cruised past Zeeland East in a dominating 51-17 victory.

Though the Dux only trailed by one point after the first quarter with a score of 8-7 the Sailors were ignited in the following quarter going on a 15-4 point scoring run to carry them into the break leading 23-11.

The Sailors continued to attack the basket and contain the Dux on defense refusing to loosen their grip holding Zeeland West to only four points in the second quarter.

Leading the way for the Sailors was Olivia Sobczak who scored 13 points. Ali Phillips contributed eight points while Lauren Hylland posted six points for the Sailors.

Mona Shores improves to to 7-1 overall and 2-0 in the O-K Green. The Sailors will travel on Friday to continue conference action.
