ZEELAND–The Mona Shores girls basketball team continues to assert their dominance on the season as they posted a 66-26 win over Zeeland East Friday night to stay perfect in the O-K Green Conference.

The Sailors controlled the pace of the game from start to finish as they jumped out to a first half lead 28-13.

The second half heated up even more for the Sailors as they stretched their lead even further outscoring Zeeland East 38-13 in the last two quarters.

Leading the way for the Sailors was Olivia Sobczak with 14 points while Khaleeya Cook and Lauren Hylland each contributed nine points. Lily Miller also tossed in eight points for the Sailors.

Mona Shores improves to 8-1 and a still perfect 3-0 in league play. The Sailors are set for more conference action on Tuesday when they host the Reeths-Puffer Rockets.
