The Ravenna boys basketball team notched another Western Michigan Conference win on Friday night taking down the Oakridge Eagles 58-50.

It was a cold start for the Bulldogs with the Eagles moving slightly out front with a 12-9 lead at the end of the first quarter but Ravenna was just getting started.

Generating some offense and going on a 16-4 scoring run in the second quarter the Bulldogs took a 25-16 lead going into the break setting the pace through the third quarter.

The Eagles didn’t just lay down though as they continued to fight and give the Bulldogs a run for their money making their own scoring run at 25-15 in the final quarter keeping Ravenna on edge until the final seconds.

Three Bulldogs scored in double digits with Kyle Beebe leading the way putting up 20 points, grabbing seven rebounds and having four steals while Clay Schullo had 17 points, eight rebounds and two steals. Travis May scored 14 points and made two assists. 

Ethan Jozsa left it all on the court for the Eagles scoring 23 points, while grabbing eight rebounds and making four blocks. Hunter Delora added eight points and seven rebounds for the Eagles while Garrett Wever chipped in with eight points.

Ravenna climbs to 4-2 and will take a trip to battle Potter’s House on Tuesday.

Oakridge fall to 4-4 and will host Whitehall on Tuesday.
