MUSKEGON–The Reeths-Puffer girls basketball team got the upper hand over Holland on Friday evening as the Rockets wrapped up their night with a 46-33 win in O-K Green action.

Attacking the basket wasn’t a problem for either team in the opening quarter of action as the Rockets held a 17-15 scoring advantage during the first eight minutes of play.

But that is where the score would stand for the rest of the half as neither team found a way to sink a basket at all in the second quarter.

After the halftime break the Rockets got things moving again as they were able to put together some successful plays to go on a scoring run of 16-8 to push the lead to 33-23 moving into the fourth quarter.

The Rockets managed to put away Holland with another consistent quarter in the fourth to cap off the night.

Leading the way for the Rockets was Sophia Hekkema who had a team high 15 points and seven rebounds while Ariel Walker added 10 points, eight rebounds and four steals.

Arionna Williams chipped in with nine points and coming up with five steals.

Reeths-Puffer moves to 6-3 and is set to play host for Muskegon on Tuesday.
