The Spring Lake boys basketball team held off an efficient shooting Allendale on Tuesday evening ending the night with a 65-55 win and capturing a key O-K Blue Conference victory.
The Lakers held the lead off the jump going into half-time with a 30-24 edge. Despite the Falcons dropping shots, including 16 three-pointers they made on the night, the Lakers held strong only being outscored in the fourth quarter 20-18.
It was a balanced scoring attack for the Lakers on the night with Kaden George leading the way putting up 23 points. Eli Morrison chipped in with 15 points while Porter Saunders added 14 points. Jackson Core had six rebounds and six assists.
Spring Lake improves to 4-2 and is 2-0 in the O-K Blue. The Lakers will visit Holland Christian on Friday.
