The Spring Lake girls basketball team handed it to O-K Blue Conference foe Fruitport on Friday evening cruising to a win over the Trojans with a 49-18 victory.
The Lakers started hot firing off 20 unanswered points before the Trojans netted a basket with four minutes left in the second quarter.
Leading all scorers was Meah Bajt who scored nine points and had three steals for the Lakers. Jennifer Judge pulled down 10 rebounds and tossed in eight points and Alexa Carter added eight points and grabbed four rebounds.
Trojans Ashton Olson led the way for Fruitport scoring six points and Sade Norwood added four points.
Spring Lake improves to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference with the win. They are set to visit Allendale on Tuesday to take on the Falcons.
Fruitport continues to struggle as they remain winless at 0-6 and will look to try to bounce back on Tuesday when they travel to Hudsonville Unity Christian,
